A glance through the eyes of a pencil

Aafiat For Aafia

Aafiat For Aafia

The Muslim world has been touched by her plight
The more they oppress, the more she see Allah’s light

The more they ill-treat her and try to make her fear
The more she realizes that Allah is near

As the enemy would say “O Aafia give up there’s no hope”
Aafia would say “O enemy I am holding on to my Allah’s rope”

The homes of Muslims might be painted with blood
Remind them of Nooh’s enemies when Allah sent that flood

A request to the Muslims to Allah should we call
For even when a child will supplicate, the mighty monarchs will fall

O Aafia we know of the injustice, the abuse and the wrong
We make Dua that Allah keeps you strong

O Aafia your sufferings are not in vain
With every difficulty Islam will gain
A day will come when the oppressors will see pain

~Yusuf Omar~

Aafia Siddiqui (Urdu: عافیہ صدیقی; born March 2, 1972) is a Pakistani cognitive neuroscientist who was “convicted” of assault with intent to murder her U.S. interrogators in Afghanistan. The charges carried a maximum sentence of life in prison; in September 2010, she was sentenced by a United states district court to 86 years in prison. Till today, there is no evidence to prove her crime. Aafia is just one of hundreds that spend their days in lonely prison cells simply because they chose to believe in Allah.
